Support for Vulnerable Households this Winter

West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) is distributing over £2.4 million from the Government's Household Support Fund to support low-income families and individuals through various initiatives this winter until March 2025. Around 50% of the funding will provide meal vouchers for 13,000 families and support for children's winter coats. Over £900,000 will go to voluntary and community organisations, such as community larders and energy-saving support services. The remaining funds will be used for debt advice, energy-saving measures, and household support. The initiative aims to help vulnerable households cope with rising energy and food costs while offering long-term financial and practical assistance.
