Cold Higham Parish Hall Events & Update – Autumn and Winter 2024”

The Cold Higham Parish Hall Committee would like to thank local residents for all their continued amazing support at our events this year.

The Hall Committee have worked hard over the Summer to effect much needed repairs to the kitchen and entrance hall, and thanks to the assistance of new Committee member Kevin Salisbury, these areas were fully re-decorated in August. They look amazing and will help to ensure that the hall can continue to be a well-loved community facility.

We were able to resume events in late August and it was wonderful to see so many of our Parish attend the recent afternoon tea & cakes event held on Saturday, 31st August. The weather was relatively kind and we were able to make use of our amazing garden facility. The event raised over £150 which will go towards upkeep of the hall.

As we move in to the Autumn and Winter months, we have several more events planned, the first of which will be a further quiz night on 12th October 2024 where we will serve a chilli supper (with vegetarian options available) Tickets for this can again be booked via Karl Lange (KarlNLange@outlook.com or 07801 716872) and we encourage attendees to bring their own drinks. Tickets are £10 per adult and £6 per child and we would love to have a "full house"

In November, we will be supporting the Parish Council in providing refreshments at Cold Higham Parish Hall following the Remembrance Day ceremony at the War Memorial in the churchyard at St Lukes. This event, as with many of our others, will be nominally free with any donations received destined for the Royal British Legion.

We will be hosting a further event in December with Christmas Crafts, Mulled Wine and nibbles. We are still finalising the details of this event which will be circulated closer to the time.

As we look towards 2025, and the 80th anniversary of VE Day, plans are already underway for commemorative events over the weekend of 9th, 10th and 11th May 2025 which will be hosted alongside Pattishall Parish. Watch this space for more details over the coming months!!

Please do come along and support us at any or all of the above events. It is lovely to see people enjoying our Parish's wonderful facility.

The Parish Hall remains available for regular and one-off bookings and we encourage as many individuals and organisations as possible to consider Cold Higham Parish Hall as a venue for their parties, meetings or classes. The hall can be hired for £8 per hour (non residents) or £7 per hour for residents of Cold Higham Parish (including furniture, cutlery/crockery etc) All enquiries for bookings can be made via Karl Lange, who can be contacted at KarlNLange@outlook.com or 07801 716872.

Finally, the Parish Hall Committee is always on the look out for new members to join our small team of volunteers. Therefore if anyone from the Parish is interested in joining the Hall Committee, or just helping out with one of our events, please do reach out to our Chairman, Chloe Nickless on 07879 408890 or atchloenickless@hotmail.com.

Thank you again all and we hope to see you soon!
